Itinerary of the Tour
🌞 Day 1 —
LA PAZ – SORATA
At 09:00 am we leave La Paz, we pass through the beautiful landscape of the Cordillera Real, passing near Lake Titicaca, and then pass through the town of Achacachi, Warisata from where you can see the imposing snowy Illampu and Ancohuma, thus arriving next to where you can see the beautiful population of Sorata 2,700m, once we reach the town we settle in the Hotel, in the afternoon we make a trekking towards the Gruta de San Pedro an abandoned mine of the Inca Culture and return.
Day 2 ―
SORATA – LAGUNA CHILATA
In the morning we leave with direction to the Laguna Chilata 4,200m passing through the beautiful landscape of the high valleys of Sorata, passing through the fields of corn and other food and the Andean fauna and thus we reach the Chilata lagoon where we camp.
Day 3 ―
LAGUNA CHILATA – LAGUNA GLACIAR
On this very early day we leave for the 5.030m Glacier Lagoon, climbing through abandoned mines, spectacular views of the mountains and the high valleys of the area and thus reach the glacier lagoon, impressive mountain landscape with an immense glacier of the mountain, then return by the same route to the Chilata lagoon where our campsite is installed with a walk of 6 to 7 hours.
Day 4 ―
LAGUNA GLACIAR – CAMPO ALTO
After breakfast we continue to 5.750m high field in 4 hours we prepare the campsite on the glacier where we spend the night.
Day 5 ―
SUMMIT – LAGUNA CHILATA
At 01:00 am we start climbing the Ancohuma mountain 6,427m in 6 to 7 hours we reach the summit and then return to the high field we continue returning to Laguna Chilata where we spent the last night.
Day 6 ―
LAGUNA CHILATA – SORATA – LA PAZ
After breakfast we continue to the town of Sorata where we take the transport and then return to the city of La Paz in the afternoon.
