SouthTreks was officially established in October 2018 by Lic. William Rojas Pérez, a business administration graduate from Peru. During a trip to Bolivia, Rojas Pérez discovered his passion for mountaineering. He became a certified mountain guide through the Association of Mountain and Trekking Guides of Bolivia (AGMTB) after climbing many of Bolivia’s peaks, as well as those in Peru and Chile. This led him to open South Treks, a mountain tourism agency with all the necessary licenses and certifications.
One of the most popular tourist destinations in Bolivia is the Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flat. Visitors can explore the vast white landscape, visit nearby colored lagoons, and even stay in unique Salt Hotels. Another must-see location is La Paz, the highest administrative capital in the world.
